Sandileah (Poem Year #4)

Oh sweet Sandileah.
Welcome back.
Pure appreciation of the present,
through the past of course. Of course!

Names on ships,
Chewed off,
Smashed,
Less cute,
Perfect.

Strings over slabs,
Serenade the night.
Stories dance on static air.
They flash before me.

I need you Sandileah.
We combust tonight.
“Oh well” sing the foolhardy

“Oh well”
